You’ve probably seen Qi Baishi a lot. So who is Qi Baishi?

Qi Baishi (January 1, 1864 – September 16, 1957) was a Chinese painter who was known for his colorful, often mischievous manner. Qi was born into a peasant family in Xiangtan, Hunan, and taught himself to paint after being inspired by the Mustard Seed Garden Manual. He traveled after turning 40, visiting many scenic sites in China. He moved to Beijing after 1917.
